Ridgewood, NJ post rock outfit Prawn are set to begin recording a new full-length with Greg Dunn (Moving Mountains) this Saturday, January 18 with plans to release it in late spring/early summer.  

The follow up to 2012’s well-received Ships, the new album will be recorded at AudioPilot Studios in BoontonNJ and will be preceded by a split with RockfordIL’s Joie De Vivre, out on February 11 via Count Your Lucky Stars/Topshelf Records.  The band also released a 4-way split with Frameworks, Kittyhawk and Droughts last November on Fair Weather Records.

Prawn to begin recording new LP with Greg Dunn (Moving Mountains) and they will release a Split EP with long-time acclaimed Joie De Vivre on February 11th on Topshelf Records.

Prawn is touring with label mates You Blew It! and Special Explosion this winter.
